More important choice than you think! If you go off-piste then you will need a strong pool with a broader baket and not too long. If you mostly shred in the park so be a smaller basket is preffered and the length of the pole can really be discussed (we have poles down to 95cm). If you do a lot of ski souring then you might want to have a telescopic pole - the weight may also play a role. If you spend most of your skidays om the groomers you can go for standard length, eg: 175cm = 120cm pole.
